Role Responsibilities

  • Senior Agile Project Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of a project, throughout its lifecycle to the agreed budget, timeframe and quality according to the Group\'s \'ePMO\' methodology in alignment with nWOWS. The role-holder manages a complex, large project with T&I component, complex CGC, with country compliance approvals and/or multiple vendors management or managing multiple medium-size projects.
  • The role holder may assume Matrix manager\'s or People Leader\'s responsibility for up to 8 project team members
Strategy
  • The role holder will be responsible for managing all aspects of the project, through its lifecycle, to agreed budget and quality:
  • Manages the project / change using the Group\'s \'ePMO\' methodology in alignment with nWOWS and successfully delivers the scope with a disciplined approach to change control and zero tolerance for scope creep
  • Responsible for managing the delivery of and providing direction within a project, working closely with the relevant Business leads and wider HR COO Transformation team stakeholders on a daily basis
  • Ensures scope, approach, solution design, timelines, costs, benefits and all other key aspects of the project are documented
  • Responsible for ensuring Group Standards are met
  • Ensures the Business Accountable Executive (AE) and the Investment/Steering Committee/)/Refinement Forum(RF) is made aware of any material risks, issues, cost, benefit, and scope changes
  • Create financial baselines and track cost actuals in a detailed budget document for submission to HR PMO and Finance monthly
  • Manage project expenditure against budget as agreed in the project business case and project definition document or approval request
  • Work with the AE to establish a Programme/Project Steering Committee (PSC)/RF with detailed Terms of Reference, action logs and minuted outcomes etc.
Business
  • Manage conflicts in stakeholder expectations, employee experience and HR good practice in process solution design across multiple workstreams
  • Understand risks, business imperatives and business context when facilitating decision making impacted by the process re-design, create solution options and make recommendations
  • Present clear options and recommendations, facilitate decision making and enable clear understanding in key stakeholders of risks, outcomes and trade-offs
Processes
  • Support continuous improvement and operational efficiency of processes to optimise operating model and employee experience.
  • Work with the business architect and other planners to assess current capabilities and identify high-level customer requirements with the help of Product Owner.
  • Identify and define user stories and use cases.
  • Set up and maintain the Requirements Traceability Matrix
  • Work with the Design team, Architects, and other Programme team members to define metrics and performance goals for the application
  • Participate in transitioning the user stories and use cases to the designers and ensure a clear and complete understanding of the requirements.
  • Assist in translating user stories and use cases into test conditions and expected results for product, performance, and user acceptance testing.
  • Participate in quality management reviews, process designs, prototypes and other requirements workbooks to ensure they fulfil stakeholder\'s requirements.
People & Talent
  • Provide leadership, management and coaching to direct reports to ensure they are highly engaged and performing to their potential.
  • Promote and embed a culture of openness, trust and risk awareness, where ethical, legal, regulatory and policy compliant conduct is the norm.
  • Ensure the project team is adequately resourced and staffed by an appropriate number of competent staff to support HR strategy
  • Ensure each project role / resource has clear responsibilities, reporting lines, delegated authorities and objectives
Risk Management
  • Prepare materials for governance meetings as required including Board quality presentations
  • Ensure that issues, risks and interdependencies are identified, managed and resolved and ensure a robust escalation process is in place where PMO, Accountable Executive and Project Steering Committtee/RF are required to own mitigating actions
  • Ensure key person risks (BaU and project) are mitigated
  • Manage project governance through delivery of detailed Work Breakdown Structures, Project Working Groups and Steering Committees/RF Manage tools & information
  • Ensure all Project documents are audit ready at all times
  • Maintain Project Document Repository in SharePoint
  • Understand the project lifecycle and ensure all stages of the lifecycle are managed accordingly
  • Assist the PMO with Post Implementation Reviews (PIRs) and Benefits Realisation Ownership handovers at Project closure Compile lessons learned to contribute to process improvement
Regulatory & Business Conduct
  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group\'s Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate, and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

  • HR Programme Manager, Product Owner, Design Lead & Vendor teams
  • HR for HR, Country Heads of HR, HRBPs, CoE Leads, HR COO team
  • Internal communications team, Corporate Communications team, Subject Matter Expert employees
  • Key Functional Partners: ITO, Finance, Compliance, Legal and Risk
Other Responsibilities
  • Embed Here for Good and Group\'s brand and value in HR COO Transformation team
  • Collectively responsible for delivering efficiency and goals and targets associated with the Programme
Our Ideal Candidate
  • 10+ years\' experience in Project Management; prefer experience within a large international, dynamic organisation.
  • Project Management accreditation - PMP/ITIL/PRINCE2/ Agile.
  • Experience with managing Agile and waterfall projects.
  • Experience in Organisational Change Management being an advantage.
  • Experience in working within Financial Services preferable.
  • Advanced MS Office Suite skills including SharePoint, MS Project skills.
  • Advanced skills in use of planning tools e.g. Clarity/ PlanView, Jira, Confluence, Trello.
