Staff Backend Engineer: High-Frequency Trading Systems

Location:

Remote - Fully remote in Asia

Compensation:

$80K - $100K

This is a critical, high-leverage role to own and scale mission-critical trading systems. You will work on performance-critical infrastructure where

correctness, ultra-low latency, and reliability

are non-negotiable.


The

Staff Backend Engineer

will be responsible for architecting, building, and maintaining the core trading infrastructure. This role focuses on

low-latency, high-throughput systems

that sit directly in the execution path, operating close to real money and high market risk.

What You'll Do:

Work directly alongside the CEO, COO, and founding engineers, driving core engineering strategy. Design and build robust backend systems for:

Order Routing

Execution

Pricing Engines

Reconciliation and Settlement

Optimize services for maximum performance, ensuring extreme latency targets, high throughput, and fault tolerance are met. Make critical architectural decisions that have immediate and direct production impact on a global-scale platform. Work with a modern and scalable tech stack including

Node.js, Python, MongoDB, and AWS Serverless

.

Requirements

We are seeking a deeply technical, highly driven engineer with a track record of success in demanding environments.

Essential Experience:

Proven experience building high-stakes infrastructure for

trading, exchange, or financial systems

.

Technical Acumen:

Strong intuition and expertise in systems design, distributed computing, and performance optimization.

Ownership and Drive:

Demonstrable high ownership, self-starter mentality, and comfort working long hours on complex, time-sensitive problems.

Location:

Must be based in

Asia

to align with the team's operational base and key market hours.
