Job Description

Responsibilities:

This is a R&D position within a dynamic and innovative technology development team, focusing on developing novel, low-noise, high-speed camera for next generations of wafer inspection and metrology equipment. As a member of the cutting-edge R&D team, the ideal candidate will develop the FPGA solution on high speed image sensor board to process, transfer and store the image data for image computer to further process.

• Work closely with research scientists and camera architect in CTO group to gain deep understanding of technology and engineering challenges of FPGA design for low-noise, high-speed camera system and image data path.
• Understand and capture the project specifications and performance requirements on FPGA level.
• Propose and develop the RTL coding in HDL; evaluate, modify, and integrate the IP cores to achieve the desired functionality.
• Develop the test benches, perform functional and/or post layout simulations, timing analysis/closure, FPGA verification and validate on image sensor board and camera system.
• Collaborate with hardware engineer, research scientist, sensor design and characterization experts to develop the next generation camera solution and ensure flawless integration test at the subsystem and/or system level.
• Document the design information and control the firmware source code.

Requirements:

• Master\'s level degree in electrical engineering or related with at least 8 years of experience or
• Doctorate (Academic) in electrical engineering or related with at least 5 years of experience
• Deep understanding and extensive experience in FPGA design including simulation, timing analysis and verification test-bench development.
• Proficient in HDL language (System Verilog, Verilog, VHDL). Knowledge of UVM and/or OpenCL is a plus.
• Familiar with FPGA development tools, such as Vivado or Quartus software.
• Experience with large scale FPGA (Xilinx UltraScale+ or Intel Stratix 10) development and using complex FPGA IPs such as embedded processors, Ethernet MAC, PCIe interface and DDR memory controller.
• Experience with hardware acceleration for image processing and high-speed communication interface such as 10-100G Ethernet is preferred.
• Hands on experience with lab equipment like logic analyzer, oscilloscope etc.
• Team player with good communication skills.
