Job Description

:The staff nurse assists the nurse clinician in the management of the community wellness clinic Queenstown and is also responsible for maintaining the standards for professional nursing practice and working cooperatively with the other members of the healthcare team to provide care that is comprehensive, integrated and cost-effective.Job Responsibilities:

• Assesses and document patient\'s mental and physical status and arrange for consultation with the doctor according to priority of patient\'s condition and needs.

• Writes accurate, clear and specific nursing care assessments, interventions and patient care outcome for continuity of care.

• Assists and performs admission procedure and carry out treatment as required

• Performs assessment for patients upon their admission to observation ward/assigned ward and accurately identifies and documents their problems and needs

• Plans, implements and documents an effective and comprehensive nursing care plan for patient based plan on identified problems/needs

• Demonstrates knowledge of medication action, mode of administration, side effects and contraindications for commonly used psychiatric and medical medication

• Follows policies and procedures when administering medications and when performing treatment or procedure

• Demonstrate knowledge and skills in nursing procedures such as venipuncture, Electrocardiogram (ECG) and oral/ Nasopharyngeal swabbing taking techniques during pandemic situation or when required.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable to work in a clinic setting located at Queenstown Polyclinic.
• Able to work independently with good decision-making skills

Educational and Professional Requirements * Diploma / Bachelor\'s Degree in Nursing

• Must be registered with Singapore Nursing Board
