• Perform basic and complex nursing procedures and treatment to meet the general comfort and wellbeing of the patient. Perform patient assessment and appropriate interventions for effective patient’s outcomes.

• Utilise clinical judgement, critical thinking and problem-solving skills in the delivery of patient care and assist in development of clinical policies and procedures.

• Demonstrate expertise in advanced clinical skills and knowledge such as performing intravenous cannulation, venepuncture, administration of medication, ECG monitoring and interpretation, assist in cardio-pulmonary resuscitation and blood culture sampling.

• Maintain proper and accurate documentation of patient’s progress and management rendered in the notes, medication records and charts.

• Assist Specialist during treatment / procedures and examination of patients. Update the doctor-in-charge about the patient’s condition and response to medical intervention.

• Follow through with doctors’ order and report promptly any changes in patient’s condition to the appropriate doctor.

Job Requirements

• Possess at least a Diploma in Nursing and is a registered nurse with the Singapore Nursing Board

• Possess a formal sub-speciality certification (post-basic Certificate/ Advance Diploma) in any clinical speciality

• At least 3 years post-registration working experience in the appropriate clinical speciality is preferred

• Able to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment

• Good communication and interpersonal skills

• Able to work weekdays and Saturdays as required
