About our group:

The Inventory Management team is pivotal in tactically supervising the Total Inventory value for the ongoing quarter. Our objective to meet a valuable metric "Days of Outstanding Inventory," within the overarching framework of the Corporate Cash Conversion Cycle. Moving beyond tactical management, our team also takes charge of strategic planning functions.

We engage in a comprehensive Quarterly Long-Term Inventory Outlook, spanning the upcoming quarter plus the subsequent 8 quarters. This outlook significantly contributes to Finance COGS Projections. Moreover, we spearhead the vital S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) meetings-a platform dedicated to harmonizing Sales and Operations strategies.

Within this forum, we establish the foundation for the current quarter and the subsequent eight quarters. Our responsibilities encompass critical elements such as product launch and transitions, customer placement strategies, and the intricate details of operational execution. These collective efforts synergistically contribute to the successful realization of our Quarterly Plan of Record.

We foster collaboration across All Operation sites, Sales OPS, Demand & Supply Planning, and CMT to optimize Total Inventory value. Our aim is to uphold a precise equilibrium among materials, Work-in-Progress (WIP), and Finished Goods Inventory (FGI), ensuring seamless alignment with both demand requirements and our financial targets.

About the role - you will:

  • Role of the Staff Program/Project Manager entails the tracking and reporting of in-quarter inventory to meet Corporate Target.
  • Collaborates seamlessly with diverse stakeholders, strategizing and taking action to achieve quarterly inventory goals.
  • Plays a pivotal role in facilitating the long-term Inventory Outlook during the POR planning process.
  • Proficiently navigates the SAP platform for real-time inventory status updates and utilization of reporting modules.
About you:
  • Demonstrates a keen understanding of Seagate\'s Supply Chain cultural dynamics and exhibits exceptional organizational sensitivity.
  • Excels in high-energy, fast-paced settings, efficiently managing multiple priorities.

Your experience includes:
  • Minimum of Bachelor\'s degree in Business, Engineering or Finance.
  • Optimization: Proven track record of effectively managing inventory levels, optimizing stock levels to balance demand, and reducing excess or obsolete inventory.
  • Supply Chain Expertise: Deep understanding of supply chain processes, including demand forecasting, procurement, production planning, and distribution logistics.
  • Data Analysis: Proficiency in utilizing data analytics tools and techniques to analyze inventory trends, identify patterns, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team responsible for inventory control, motivating them to achieve performance targets and objectives.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Strong collaboration skills, including working closely with teams to align inventory strategies with broader organizational goals.
  • Inventory Planning: Experience in strategic inventory planning, including safety stock management, re-order points and lead time optimization.
  • Process Improvement: History of identifying inefficiencies in inventory management processes and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall efficiency.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication skills for presenting inventory-related reports, making recommendations to senior management, and maintaining clear communication within the team and across departments.
  • Change Management: Experience in managing changes in inventory management practices, technology adoption, or process reengineering within the organization.
