What the role is:
The STEM Instructor (Laboratory) role is to facilitate the delivery of Science lessons and practical assessments by assisting in the smooth running of Science laboratories. You will also support teachers in projects and operational aspects of students' learning in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).
What you will be working on:

• Prepare and set up apparatus, reagents, and materials required for Science practical lessons/ assessments o Ensure the safety of Science laboratories by keeping abreast of safety guidelines and adhering to safety protocols for equipment and material usage o Provide support in students' STEM learning, such as working with teachers to plan and organise STEM learning experiences/ journeys for students and supporting students in their STEM investigative projects and/ or STEM Applied Learning Programme (ALP) projects o Manage and maintain inventory of laboratories supplies through regular stock-takes, routine calibration and replacement of worn items/ equipment; and collaborate with external partners for asset management and routine checks in the laboratories o Assist in budget planning by providing relevant information and support finance operations

What we are looking for:

• Prior experience in laboratory work and familiarity with safety requirements in science laboratories o Strong interpersonal and communication skills o Ability to work effectively both independently and in teams o Attention to detail with excellent planning and organising abilities o Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Excel) and adept with using systems As part of the processing of your application, you may be required to undergo a medical examination that will be fully paid by MOE.
