Job Title: Store Assistant / All Rounder

Job Summary:

We are an Australian establishment and one of the fastest growing F&B, Importer and Distribution in Singapore & ASEAN, seeking a talented and passionate Store Assistant / All Rounder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for coffee, espresso-based beverages, bakery & retail trades, along with exceptional customer service skills. As a Store Assistant / All Rounder, We will be providing you the necessary training and you will be responsible for crafting high-quality drinks & bakery, providing friendly service to customers, and contributing to the overall ambiance of our cafe.

Responsibilities:

Beverage Preparation:

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and espresso-based beverages, including lattes, cappuccinos, and macchiatos, following established recipes and quality standards. Ensure drinks are crafted with precision and attention to detail, including proper extraction, milk frothing, and presentation.

Customer Service & Social Media:

Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, and provide knowledgeable recommendations about our coffee offerings. Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, answering questions, support in creating social media contents and addressing any concerns to ensure an exceptional experience.

Espresso Machine Operation:

Operate espresso machines and other coffee equipment with proficiency, maintaining cleanliness and performing routine maintenance tasks as needed. Monitor espresso shot quality and adjust grind settings as necessary to achieve optimal flavour and extraction.

Payment Handling and POS Operation:

Process customer transactions accurately using the Point of Sale (POS) system, handle cash transactions, and maintain cash register balances. Provide prompt and efficient service during peak hours while managing customer queues effectively.

Menu Knowledge:

Stay informed about our coffee offerings, including origin, flavour profiles, and brewing methods, to educate customers and make personalized recommendations based on their preferences. Keep abreast of seasonal specials and promotions to upsell and cross-sell additional items.

Cleanliness and Organization:

Maintain cleanliness and organization in the cafe's coffee preparation area, including equipment, utensils, and serving stations. Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards, including proper storage of perishable items and regular sanitization of surfaces.

Retail & Distribution:

Support and assist on the group retail & distribution trades.

Qualifications:

Knowledge of cafe or bakery will be advantage. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and consistency. Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks. Comfortable working in a fast-paced and sometimes crowded environment.
