Store & Logistics Supervisor This role is in charge of the deployment of our vehicle fleet comprising of around 30 vehicles. The fleet is made up of tipper trucks, lorry cranes/loaders, TMA and 10ft & 14ft lorries. The logistics supervisor should understand the operational requirements and plan the resources efficiently. They also need to work with external vendors to support our operational requirements appropriately. The successful candidate is also responsible for the management of our 3 stores to supervise movement of inventory as well as storemen\xe2\x80\x99s performance.
- Efficient resourcing of own vehicle fleet and vendor\xe2\x80\x99s vehicles
- Understand site requests for vehicles and the terms and conditions related to each request.
- Familiarize oneself with different project sites and their particular site/ project conditions.
- Familiarize oneself with time required for different site activities in order to plan resources efficiently.
- Plan resourcing of own vehicles while using external logistic vendors to supplement. Reduce operation cost by full utilization of own vehicle fleet first.
- Work with the store supervisor/foreman of different stores to ensure inventory for graded stone, dust etc are well-stocked.
- Working with storeman and Purchaser to co-ordinate deliveries or pickup of goods.
- Company uses an in-house customized software for sending purchase orders and requisition forms. Store & supervisor will provided training for ESMS.
- Process Delivery Orders and Purchase Orders.
- Monitor storemen\xe2\x80\x99s entries on ESMS.
- Work closely with Purchaser on ESMS.
- Successful candidate expected to handle inventory management.
- Work with Storemen and Purchaser to maintain certain items in the inventory such as tools and equipment.
- Ensure inventory is trackable and proper SOPs followed in the drawing out and return of tools and equipment.
- Regular report on site usage of tools, equipment and material. Understand how the inventory is being utilized on project sites. Report on wastage, damages etc.
- Ensuring only drivers only drive assigned vehicles unless otherwise instructed.
- Following SOP on vehicle handovers
- Participate in training or briefing for drivers. Identify training needs.
- Ensure drivers are properly qualified to enter project sites they need to enter and to carry out assigned tasks.
- Ensure drivers operate vehicles in a safe manner and takes care of their vehicle. Provide counselling/ warning to drivers when required.
- Planning drivers\xe2\x80\x99 home leave to ensure smooth operations.
- Doing drivers\xe2\x80\x99 and storemen yearly appraisal.
- Ensure Storemen follow SOP on stock-ins and stock outs and give accurate stocktake.
- Ensure tools and equipment are properly maintained with maintenance log records.
- Ensure vehicles are well maintained and serviced according to schedule.
- Work with Receptionist to ensure vehicle road tax renewed on time.
- Ensure accidents are reported to office.
- Keen observation of vehicle\xe2\x80\x99s condition such as any unreported new damages.
- Candidate must possess at least Higher secondary/Pre-U/A level/College, Professional Certificate/NiTEC, Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Business Studies/Administration/Management or equivalent.
- At least 3 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Required Skill(s): Intermediate level in Computer skills.
- Class 3 driver license and able to drive lorry.
- Familiar with regulations pertaining to different types of vehicles and qualifications required to operate them.
- Ability to effect a culture change
- Experience in construction industry will be favoured.
- Good time management skills.
- Ability to apply critical thinking on the job.
