1. The Store Manager is a very important member of the company as he / she is responsible for the implementing of company /management strategies and business plans. These are to be done in accordance with the company\xe2\x80\x99s stated procedures and standards, through proper planning, good execution and meaningful review of the results to move the company forward.
2. He / she is to responsible in leading, motivating and inspiring a team of staff to prepare the retail unit to company\xe2\x80\x99s agreed layout and standards so as to maximise sales while managing expenses.
3. He / she is responsible for the professional care of customers so that they will buy from us, will return again to buy and will also recommend us to their friends.
4. He / she must understand and be clear about the company\xe2\x80\x99s strategies and business plans for the coming financial year.
5. He / she must ensure that his / her deputy plan the manpower requirements for the coming month (period) by referring to the company\xe2\x80\x99s business calendar, staff annual leave plans as well as any ad-hoc leave request that the staff may wish to make.
6. Alternates with his / her deputy to conduct daily morning briefings for all staff to set them in motion for the day and to assign tasks to them to meet the day\xe2\x80\x99s activities.
7. Manage the inventory, financial or other assents and property of the company so as to reduce and eliminate any losses or wastages.
8. Report / recommend to the person responsible for buying, the inclusion or removal of any item of inventory as appropriate.
9. Being the Store Manager, he / she takes the responsibilities for the health and safety of all staff and customers in his / her store. This is achieved by ensuring that the store is safe with adequate firefighting equipment (including Fire Exits) and that they are not obstructed in any way. He / she is to ensure that the staff are all fully trained to use all the equipment in the unfortunate event of a fire in the premises.
10. Be responsible in exceeding sales targets set by the company through preparing the store in such manner that encourage buying habits and to provide customer guidance, tips and advice on plants and gardening products.
11. The Store Manager will work with Marketing, Visual Merchandising, Purchasing and his / her store team to ensure optimum planning and manage any store promotion in maximising the marketing efforts and sales potential.
12. bi-annually, noting their knowledge gaps and organising the appropriate training program for them.
13. He / she is to give direction, inspire and encourage his/her team to give customers the highest level of service so as to uphold the good reputation of Far East Flora.
14. The Store Manager will hold weekly Operations Meeting with his team leaders in order to use information from past week/s to plan for the maximizing of sales and profits in the weeks ahead. This is also a platform to share any information given by the Management Group.
15. He / she will lead a monthly \xe2\x80\x9cStore Tour\xe2\x80\x9d in order to self-audit the business unit.
Jobs Requirement:
Salary range: $3200 - $3800
Working hour: 5 day work week with shift either from 8am \xe2\x80\x93 6pm or 8.30am to 6.30pm, weekend is expected to be working
Working location: could be assigned to any of outlet at Thomson Road, Evans Road, Queensway or at HQ at Clementi Road
Special requirements: have relevant working experience in Retail sector or plants nursery
