The goal of Revenue management is to maximize revenue growth by optimizing available capacity and demand.
OVERALL OBJECTIVES
Optimizing flights under his or her responsibility through the setting and monitoring of system parameters on flight date level.
Perform analysis of network results and take initiatives in order to stimulate optimization, utilizing both commercial and operational opportunities.
Organize and execute communication to the commercial organization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Flight Strategy
Determine for each season how much capacity will be allocated to contracted traffic and against what minimum rates.
Create initial profiles on flight date level based on analysis of historical data which include the setting of system parameters as overbooking levels, entry conditions and allocated capacity per bucket.
Flight Optimization
Fine-tune these system parameters on a daily basis by closely monitoring booking behaviour for every single flight.
Monitor contract performance on a regular basis and initiate actions if needed, decide on acceptance of new contracts during the season.
Make the necessary adjustments in case of flight configuration changes.
Reporting and Communication
Produce regular and ad-hoc market based reports for market, Revenue Management Head office and area Management.
Support PRM position in the weekly market calls.
Liaise with RM Central on facilitating connecting traffic flows.
Others
Evaluate and handle the requests for individual shipments sent to queue during a certain period of the month.
Coordinate the repair of shipments due cancellations/downgrades with operations and CSO within the region.
Prepare PRM data driven next steps: test new ways of working (implementation of best practices, ex. flight-plan handover), conduct pilot with new tools (ex. FIT AAA, FIT OA, FIT ECA...) and implement.
The responsibilities and tasks of the position are not limited to the above mentioned and change might occur in concert with direct Manager.
JOB DIMENSIONS
Point of sales concerned: 5 markets and multiple online stations in total for the entire Asia&ME region.
A Strategic Flight Analyst will typically handle all AF, KL and MP inbound flights for one or two markets and cover ad-hoc transversal topic (ex. forecast, quality checks...).

Multi-cultural environment where communication is key.
Constant switching between operational tasks (queues) and strategic tasks (flight optimization), which require almost the same amount of time on the job, creates very dynamic operating conditions.
Due to the operational tasks, working in shifts on a national holiday will be occasionally required.
Team culture and spirit is a very important component of the job due to constant backing up for other team members.
Very fast development in Management Information tools that require a significant amount of time for self-learning (for both transactional and reporting purposes).
