Manager/Senior Manager, Strategy Planning

Reports to: Head of Strategy Planning
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated Strategic Planning Manager to join our strategy team. This role is critical in driving the company's long-term growth agenda, supporting senior leadership in evaluating market opportunities, shaping business strategies, and monitoring execution progress. The ideal candidate will combine strategic thinking, solid market research expertise, strong analytical and financial acumen, with the ability to communicate insights effectively to senior stakeholders and collaborate closely with multiple stakeholders.

• Strategic Planning & Analysis

• Lead the development and execution of annual and long-term strategic planning processes.
• Assess macroeconomic, industry, customer, and competitive trends to identify growth opportunities and risks.
• Support the preparation of senior management strategy presentations.
• Market & Competitive Intelligence

• Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform line of business (LOB) strategies and overarching business area (BA) strategies.
• Synthesize complex data into actionable insights and recommendations for decision-making.
• Monitor emerging trends, disruptive technologies, and regulatory developments across global markets.
• Financial & M&A evaluation

• Partner with finance and business units to align growth initiatives with financial objectives.
• Support M&A evaluations, partnerships, and other inorganic growth initiatives.
• Cross-functional Collaboration

• Work closely with business leaders, finance, sales/BD, marketing, tech & innovation, HR, and operations teams to ensure alignment of strategy and execution.
• Host strategy-related events that require collaboration across multiple stakeholders, internally and externally; Facilitate workshops and strategy sessions to drive cross-LOB, cross-functional input and buy-in

Qualifications:

• A good bachelors degree in business, economics, finance, or related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree will be an advantage.
• 6-10 years of experience in in-house strategic planning / corporate strategy, management consulting, investment, or related fields.
• Proven expertise in:

• Strategic thinking ability to structure complex problems, identify insights, and propose actionable solutions.
• Analytical skills strong quantitative and qualitative analysis capabilities, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and experience with data visualization tools.
• Market research experience with industry analysis, customer insights, and competitive analysis.
• Financial acumen ability to evaluate financial results, assess business cases, and connect strategy to financial outcomes.
