JOB SUMMARY

Analyze markets (and products contained therein), technologies and manufacturing trends supporting Jabil\xe2\x80\x99s strategic business development activities, both existing and potential. The scope of this position includes creating case studies, white papers and/or business plans containing technology and market analyses, manufacturing trends and possible scenarios, accompanied by supporting financial models. These analyses will contrast, compare and overlay technologies, markets and manufacturing trends, aligning those findings with Jabil\xe2\x80\x99s manufacturing profile and strategic direction.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Analyze the technology and understand how it relates to a business model
• Research market conditions to analyze how they relate to existing or new technologies, concepts, ideas and applications.
• Create finance models to manufacture a given technology
• Model and compare different manufacturing scenarios to optimize decision making process
• Link a single technology to multiple market segment and provide analysis
• Challenge ideas with novel approaches to markets and market segments through research / data analysis
• Prepare appropriate reports (technology overviews, white papers, financial models and business analyses) providing overviews, recommendations and/or business plans to upper management
• Read, analyze, interpret and communicate regarding common scientific and/or technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents
• Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position as directed by supervisor
• Comply with all procedures within the company security policy.
• May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

• Broad base understanding of technology including materials, chemistry, mechanics and electronics.
• Understand a manufacturing model as it relates to financial impact
• Understand market analyses and technical trends, and be able to provide informed recommendations incorporating the two
• Present information to top management, customers, and/or public groups.
• Advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of Jabil\xe2\x80\x99s standard software packages and tools.
• Willingness to work as part of a focused team
• Demonstrated detail oriented background
• Possess strong coordination and communication skills

• Proficiency in Mandarin both written and spoken is required as the successful person will have to liaise with counterparts in China and Taiwan
• Able to collate and analyze large amounts of information and data to a concise format into Power Point presentations or articles
