About Corporate Strategy at LSEG

The Corporate Strategy team partners with the CEO, CFO and Executive Committee (ExCo) of LSEG to shape the overall strategy of the Group. It helps to determine priorities for organic and inorganic growth across our portfolio, ensures business units and functions have strategies coherent with and informed by that of the Group, and leads strategic review and initiatives on cross-divisional and cross-functional themes.

Joining the team, you will be right in the \xe2\x80\x98nerve centre\xe2\x80\x99 of LSEG as it transitions from integration of Refinitiv to transformation into a global, multi-asset-class-enabled provider of financial market infrastructure and data \xe2\x80\x93 and leverages its strategic partnership with Microsoft to enable new frontiers of growth, powered by the latest in cloud and AI technologies.

About this role

We are seeking a high-performing and collaborative leader to join the team as a Strategy Director in Hong Kong, Singapore or Bengaluru, reporting to the Head of Corporate Strategy (in London). In this role, you will be responsible for LSEG\xe2\x80\x99s geographic growth strategy as well as global strategy projects on specific emerging themes. This is a high visibility role, requiring interaction with C-level executives and extensive collaboration with a broad range of leaders in APAC and across LSEG globally.

Key responsibilities

Defining, articulating and continually refining LSEG\xe2\x80\x99s geographic strategy, with particular focus on driving growth in underpenetrated markets

Developing focused and coherent country strategies for key markets, determining organic and inorganic growth priorities with a cross-divisional and cross-functional lens

Partnering with LSEG\xe2\x80\x99s government relations and regulatory strategy team as required to support our geographic growth agenda

Leading strategic reviews and initiatives on cross-divisional and cross-functional topics, partnering closely with leaders across LSEG\xe2\x80\x99s businesses and functions

Maintaining and leveraging strong relationships with external advisors and consultants

Building and maintaining strong working relationships with LSEG\xe2\x80\x99s leadership in APAC

Key skills and experience

The ideal candidate is an experienced strategy professional with a strong track record of collaborating with senior executives across geographies to drive growth and change in a multinational organisation.

Thought leadership and problem-solving:

Critical thinking and ability to tackle complex problems in a structured manner

Credibility as a thought partner based on a track record of successfully advising and constructively challenging business leaders

Corporate strategy development:

Experience of conducting market and competitive landscape reviews, developing country plans and conducting geo-prioritisation exercises

Ability to develop clear, pragmatic and actionable recommendations and plans

Experience of M&A due diligence / transaction support a strong plus

Communication:

Excellent verbal and written communications skills

Experience of preparing materials for C-level executives and Board members

Stakeholder engagement and influencing:

Ability to reach across an organization to bring the right expertise and diversity of perspectives together

Ability to deal with ambiguity and adopt a range of operating models based on stakeholder context and business need

Experience of working with senior executives and influencing with insight and respect

Leadership:

Drive for excellence while leading with trust, openness, inclusivity and humility

Ability to attract, develop and inspire diverse talent

Experience of leading virtual, multi-disciplinary teams, operating across time-zones

Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s or Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree; MBA preferred

Experience as a senior engagement manager at a top-tier strategy consulting firm, or 10+ years of total professional experience including a combination of strategy consulting, in-house corporate strategy or private equity roles

Expertise on the financial data (or broader FS) market landscape in one or more of China, India and Japan strongly preferred

Expertise in one or more of the following areas a plus: financial market infrastructure, banking, technology transformation, platform business models, big data and cloud, AI
