About This Role

We have an opening for a Strategy Lead who wants to gain valuable experience and exposure in a hyper-growth environment in Singapore.

We are looking for a motivated individual who is hungry to learn and thrives in a fast-paced environment. The person should have an eye for detail with strong analytical skills to conduct research that contribute towards strategy, creative spark to prepare effective communication materials and strong stakeholder management skills to ensure that strategy is converted to execution. As part of the CTO office, the individual will help to support the development of strategy, alongside the implementation of strategic initiatives within the Engineering department.

The Strategy Lead will have the opportunity to (but not limited to):

• Conduct research and analyse findings to contribute towards strategy (e.g. value proposition, future product roadmap, ideas)
• Support the preparations of materials to provide strategic alignment
• Facilitate effective communication within Engineering teams and across the company via preparation of communication materials, conducting steerco meetings and management of stakeholders
• Contribute towards writing of publications (e.g. whitepapers, blog articles) to solidify Circles.Life as #1 Digital fighter brand OS
• Support the implementation of strategic initiatives, or experiments
• This role will work closely with other teams (business, marketing, engineering, product etc)

This is a group level role based in Singapore.

What you\'ll do

As our Strategy Lead, you will be taking on an important role in the center of our cross-functional Product and Engineering Team, and support initiatives that impact company wide. You will be given a unique opportunity to work on high-impact projects and your responsibilities include:

Strategy Research and Analysis

• Trusted adviser who consistently supports the Head of Strategy & Innovation to focus on strategic Company and Engineering initiatives
• Contribute to ideation, validation, planning, and execution of strategic projects across several areas end-to-end with cross-functional teams
• Conduct research (primary, secondary) and perform analysis to support key decisions and projects (e.g. risks, tradeoffs, recommendations)
• Support the generation of new business models and go-to-market strategies that place Circles as an innovator in the Telco space
• Present research insights and recommendations into actionable format succinctly and in a visually appealing manner
• Generate whitepapers / blog articles for external publication to solidify Circles.Life position

Relationship Building and Stakeholder Management

• Establishing trust with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, eliminating non-value-add activity and blockers, and obtaining alignment across different teams to enable smooth delivery of initiatives
• Drive alignment across the teams in the company (e.g. via presentations, steering committee meetings etc) for the timely and efficient execution of strategic projects

Project Management and Execution

• Support senior management/Engineering Leader(s) as a strategic advisor to solve complex business problems with principled thinking, and help ensure the successful execution of business strategy
• Work with different stakeholders within & outside of Engineering to resolve barriers to the teams and projects, including regular reports, risks, and mitigations
• Refine, streamline and operationalise project plans, communication and assist in tracking progress, resources etc to drive key objectives and deliver ambitious outcomes

What we are looking for

The individual should have:

• Degree / Masters from a renowned institution
• Experience in Telecommunications domain
• 6-9 years of relevant experience, working in a fast-paced and competitive environment. Previous experience in management consulting, strategy, research or innovation will be an advantage.
• Strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate well, including strong writing ability (e.g. whitepaper, blog articles) and verbal skills (e.g. conducting steering committee meetings)
• Proficient in Microsoft Powerpoint and/or Google Slide, Excel and/or Google sheets
• Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail to ensure important details do not slip through the cracks or derail a project
• Good interpersonal and multi-tasking skills
• Highly flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and conditions. Copes effectively with complexity and change, especially in a start-up culture
• Fast-learning, self-motivated, and possess a strong sense of ownership self-starter who is willing to roll up sleeve and get things done

It would be great if the individual has:

• MBA degree
• Experience in developing GTM strategy
• Ability to perform financial modelling
