PURPOSE OF JOB/POSITION The Strategy Lead is expected to take a role in driving Takeda\xe2\x80\x99s strategic plans and initiatives concerning commercial success. He/She would support the development of differentiated commercial strategies and long-term growth strategies for GEM markets based on customer insights and in-depth market / competitive analyses; this is required as GEM has more than 15 global brands and encompasses more than 25 markets. ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Support leadership and strategic directions to emerging market leadership team based on firm grasp of competitive dynamics, customer needs, regulatory impacts and economic trajectory in GEM
  • Express opinion and counsel to GEM President and GEMLT (GEM Leadership) in key business themes
  • Work and align with a diverse talented team (strategy, sales force effectiveness and business analytics areas)
  • Drive innovation on business/operation model with insights and delivers sustainable impacts to GEM BU
  • Drive and manage "input from all major business units to facilitate the integration of individual business unit plans with the corporate plan

  • Proven ability to understand the GEM market, able to identify business opportunities, develop analytics-based strategic plans, establish cross-functional/geography partnerships and drives actionable decisions to deliver on short and long-term growth targets and operational excellence
  • Proven interpersonal and leadership skills to influence and build credibility with Area/Country functional functions and to collaborate with them on implementing key initiatives

  • Strong multi-factorial analysis to correlate data and information to help to drive GEM strategies
  • Strong leadership behaviours to be able to influence and drive decision re0inforcing Takeda Values

CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTORS & KEY CHALLENGES

  • Local experience in leading complex initiatives and oversight of budgets and key elements of strategic/global projects
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Biological and Medical Sciences, or Medicine or equivalent knowledge experience is preferred
  • Business knowledge, MBA preferred
  • Fluent English speaker to ensure effective communication across the region and to Global
  • >5 years of standard-setting performance in this role or a comparable role
