Work closely with HODs, Project Manager and sub-contractors on details and administering of production sub-contract work (WO)
Maintain communication, organise meetings and discussions with sub-contractors during work scope development, tender and Work Order issuance stage
Maintain close communication with production, budgeting and invoicing disciplines to ensure smooth execution and completion of Work Order.
Monitor sub-contractors (WO) performance and execution to be within given budget throughout the sub-contract duration
Formulate additional work requirements or variation works work amendments in the sub-contract (WO) with sub-contractor upon approval of budget.
Highlight any potential events going or taking place that may affect commercial, safety, quality and completion of sub-contract (Wo)
Issue full & final Work Order to sub-contractor upon job completion certified by HODs and Project Manager.
Submit sub-contractor performance evaluation to relevant departments for review upon works completion.
Maintain confidentiality of all commercial aspects as per requirements.
Monitor closely on sub-contractor works progress and manpower movement
Perform registration, de-registration and amendments of sub-contractors in the Approved Vendor List (AVL)
Prepare monthly report on sub-contractor manpower movement and availability
Highlight discrepancies on DRO / Octopus and Daily Clock in/out of sub-contracted works
Work closely with HR Sub-contracting on sub-contractor manpower issues i.e. registration in DRO platform. Also to ensure sub-contractor is in compliance with Yard and Government/statutory board regulations.
Manage and monitor potential conflicts of interests in sub-contractor deployed works. (Lump sum and labour supply concurrent works etc.)
Requirements
Degree/ Diploma in Engineering
Minimum 2 years working experience in Marine Shipbuilding & Offshore subcontracting or equivalent.
Entry-level are welcome to apply
Excellent proficiency in English (written and spoken)
Knowledge of Microsoft Office products
Able to execute objectives of assigned role and highlight potential risks in process flow
Able to master JDE requirements/ functions for sub-contracting
Good interpersonal relation and communication skills
Diligent, responsible, detail and meticulous
Good leadership and planning skill
Target and goal orientated
Cost-Conscious
Willing to teach, impart knowledge to provide guidance.
Keen to learn and inquisitive.
