Description

  • Accountable for overseeing the quality, speed, adaptability, and dependability of designated product categories.
  • Supports worldwide manufacturing operations by swiftly addressing supplier non-compliance issues, including short-term containment measures, identifying the root causes, and implementing effective long-term corrective actions.
  • Takes charge of assessing and endorsing new suppliers and components, using the Advanced Quality Planning process to ensure top-notch quality and quick lead times during product launches.
  • Manages projects aimed at enhancing supplier performance, employing methodologies like the Supplier Performance Process, Lean principles, and Six Sigma tools, as prioritised and assigned.
  • Serves as an in-house expert on the assigned product categories.
  • Functions as an extension of the Global Supplier Performance Excellence (SPE) team situated in Asia-Pacific (AP), supporting initiatives that benefit AP sites.
  • Achieves set targets for supplier quality, delivery, and lead times for critical product categories in both new and existing product programs.
  • Aids in resolving supplier quality issues and enhancing supplier manufacturing and business processes.
  • Discovers, investigates, and implements new materials and manufacturing technologies to enhance the company\'s competitive edge.
  • Collaborates with Quality Assurance, Development Engineering, and Marketing to clarify specifications and ensure a precise understanding of required quality standards.
  • Cultivates and maintains strong relationships with key suppliers to emphasise a strong commitment to overall quality and process efficiency.
  • Works closely with key partners to comprehend business priorities and drive improvements in crucial performance metrics.
  • Participates in AP\'s key initiatives to identify opportunities for enhancement throughout the Supply Chain.
  • Provides regular recommendations and updates to management regarding the performance of product categories and related action plans moving forward.
  • Assists tactical buyers in resolving issues and offers procedural guidance as necessary.
Profile
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering coupled with 2 to 3 years of experience in Supply Chain roles related to Commodity Management or Supplier Performance Engineering, preferably in a manufacturing context.
  • Possesses exceptional problem-solving and analytic abilities, along with effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrates adeptness in managing multiple tasks within a high-speed work environment.
  • Proficient in Lean methodologies, SPC, 6-Sigma (Black or Green Belt), and tools for process improvement and problem-solving processes following DMAIC principles.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9000:2000 Quality Systems and a solid grasp of conducting Supplier and Process audits.
