The Supplier Quality Engineer will act as the Quality Assurance representative between Collins Aerospace Supply Chain Management organization and suppliers in Asia region.
Responsibilities include:
1. Reviewing and auditing the supplier\xe2\x80\x99s quality system, communicating Collins Aerospace purchasing quality requirements to the supplier and for ensuring that product not meeting the engineering requirements are handled in adherence to the applicable control systems and plans.
2. Coordinate, monitor and provide leadership and training support for all quality activities between Collins Aerospace and suppliers.
3. Identifying and resolving quality problems, including root cause analysis and approving supplier corrective action plans (SCAR).
4. Oversee and perform various quality engineering tasks associated with Supply Chain Management which include conducting technical process, product and quality system audits, developing and implementing quality and process plans.
5. Review and approve supplier First Article Inspection Report (FAIR) to assure they meet AS9102 requirements.
6. Review and approve supplier Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) to assure they meet Collins Aerospace Quality requirements.
7. Perform MRB QA and Preliminary Review Official tasks to support suppliers\xe2\x80\x99 concession activities for acceptance of nonconforming material.
The applicant will also be required to support manufacturing of CNC machined and formed metallic commercial aircraft products at Supplier locations throughout Asia.
Responsibilities include:
8. Troubleshooting product quality issues by developing Manufacturing Solutions through use of Lean tools and Manufacturing trials.
9. Review various Manufacturing tools like Milling Fixtures, Assembly Jigs, Tooling aids adequacy to support the required Manufacturing Processes and work with the Tooling Engineers to close these gaps, if any.
10. Perform Manufacturing Process Reviews at various supplier sites.
11. Manage Process improvement projects to closure.
12. Interface with Suppliers, Quality, Engineering and Program Management for the purpose of communicating technical information, such as Critical-To-Quality metrics.
The applicant must be able to manage all Technical problems of moderate scope with minimal supervision. Additionally, they are expected to perform other duties that may be assigned from time to time by their superiors.
