Job Description

The Opportunity:Adecco is partnering with a well-established Japanese company focusing on sales of automotive wire and components, and we are seeking to hire a Supply Chain Management Coordinator to join their business. Reporting to the SCM Manager, the successful incumbent to process a high volume of purchase orders and coordinate with forwarders on import/export shipments.

• Work location: Alexandra Road (near Labrador Park MRT)
• Work hours: Mondays - Fridays, 8:30am - 5:30pm
• Basic salary up to $3,800 + AWS + Variable Bonuses

The Job:

• Coordinate and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and freight forwarders.
• Manage daily shipment activities, including generating and sending purchase orders, inputting data into SAP, arranging sailing schedules, and checking invoices and bills of lading.
• Handle supplier and customer relations, managing order backlogs and forecasts.
• Oversee inventory control, focusing on temporary stock and Business Continuity Plan (BCP) stock.
• Conduct cost analysis, with a focus on cargo and logistics costs.
• Travel may be required on a case-by-case basis.

The Talent:

• At least 1-3 years of relevant experience in processing a high volume of purchase orders and import/export shipment coordination, well-versed in incoterms
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with both internal and external stakeholders
• Able to travel for work (frequency of 10-20%)
