Primary Function:

  • The Supply Chain Excellence Manager (Project Manager) supports the Area Supply Chain & Logistics organization in driving Operational Excellence, Standardization and Continuous Improvement for better customer experience and operational efficiency across the Asia Pacific region.
  • Area in scope covers end to end supply chain (source to deliver) and from policy, workflow, process and systems
Major Responsibilities:
  • The Supply Chain Excellence Manager (Project Manager) works with Area Supply Chain & Logistics Leader in translating strategy, vision and long-term goals into actionable plan
  • Supports Area Supply Chain to identify productivity and cost improvement opportunities, to drive gross margin improvement initiatives for freight and distribution
  • Engages business leader and cross-functional team by enforcing strong alignment between business objectives and operational goals
  • Define project scope, goals, timelines and deliverables
  • Identify resource requirement, require budget and the potential benefit
  • Works with cross-functional team to assess and build up the required tasks, milestone and to assign Person-In-Charge for each task
  • Executes and track project progress, identify risks, develop mitigation plans and ensure on-time completion
  • Communicates project status, highlight associated risk and contingency to stakeholders, sponsors and leadership
  • Works and collaborates with IT/SAP/AddOne to identify automation opportunity using system solution
  • Drives a culture of continuous improvement in all aspect of Supply Chain
  • Provides coaching, mentoring and training to Supply Chain
  • Identify, coach & mentor potential talent on project management processes and techniques
  • Participates in external conferences and seminars to keep current with industry best practices in project management, Supply Chain management and Logistics
  • Assess business environment, dynamics and customer requirements to better equipped and aligned internal processes to improve customer experience
Requirements:
  • Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain/Logistics/ Industrial Engineering or related disciplines
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Supply Chain and Logistics within medical device/healthcare/pharma industry
  • Experienced in end to end supply chain from demand/supply/warehousing/order fulfillment/last mile delivery
  • Experienced in project management, people management and change management
  • Strong leadership / influencing skills and track record of driving projects in matrixed organizations
  • Practical knowledge and experience with CI tools such as: Class A, Lean, Six Sigma, JI, DMAIC and similar tools and methods are preferred. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certified advantageous
  • Good understanding of financial processes and be able to establish business cases, cost benefit analysis & ROI
  • Self-starter, independent and able to navigate and identify work priorities in a complex and matrix environment
  • Demonstrated teaching and coaching skills
  • Comprehensive verbal and written analytical/problem solving, communication, negotiation, interpersonal and presentation skills
