The Supply Chain Executive Officer/Assistant Manager will manage a team of operation staff and contract workmen to manage the inventory items that are stored in SP Group Warehouses. It is required of him/her to have a strong focus on meeting operational KPIs, strong stakeholder management and engagement, streamlining and process improvements. The person will be based in our J alan Besut warehouse but will be expected to travel to other manned/unmanned warehouses from time-to-time. What you'll do: Lead a team of warehouse supervisor/assistants & contract workmen to perform daily operational duties such as picking, issuance, receiving of inventory items in SP Group Warehouses. Responsible for regular stock-count and reconciliation of the inventory under his charge. Lead operations by example to ensure high discipline in compliance to Store Operating Manual (SOM) in all functions of warehouse operations including the use of ERP and Warehouse Management System as well as upholding Safety & Health compliance and requirements. Manages target inventory levels in warehouse including engaging customers to review slow-moving inventory and warehouse space optimization. Manages and engages internal and external customers and contractors in resolution of issues, escalation, and improvement of processes at both ends Champion Lean Methodology and lead continuous improvement projects including adoption of automation and digitalization. Perform analytics on operational statistics and reports and provide recommendations to Warehouse Manager with the aim of improving Control, Productivity and Quality. Effective resources management including prioritization and deployment of resources such as machines, people, space to achieve the output required. Liaises with Procurement Category team to anticipate and properly manage order entry, track order progress and deliveries to warehouses. What you'll need: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business Administration with major in Supply Chain Management or equivalent. At least 3-5 years working experience in Operations of 3PL or non-3PL with sizable logistics function. At least 2 years working experience in Automated Storage Retrieval System (ASRS) and any related warehouse automation such as RFID, auto-picking, pick to light, etc. LEAN knowledge with experience in implementing strategic saving by adding values to the processes and eliminating downtimes, applying Value Stream Mapping (VSM) and Time Motion Study. Acquired ISO 9000, 14001 and OHSAS certification. Computer skills in advanced MS Excel is a MUST. SAP ERP knowledge preferred, especially Financial/Logistics and SRM modules. Experience in the use or implementation of Warehouse Management System (WMS) in conventional and automated storages. Excellent customer facing skills together with strong communication, presentation, and project management skills. Strong coordination skills and meticulous with figures. Strong interpersonal skills, with good command & respect from subordinates. Good team player who can work with all levels of people in the organization
