Our client is a world leader in the highly specialised fields of dredging, land reclamation, marine infrastructure, offshore energy and environmental remediation. About the role:
- Responsible for the planning , organizing , directing and controlling warehousing and transportation functions of the company.
- Responsible for customer audit and complaint relating to purchasing and logistics operation.
- Manage 3rd party logistics warehouse operation, logistics suppliers and warranty surveyors.
- Plan and procure assigned materials to support operations.
- Manage Warehouse Receptions, monitor and expedite delivery schedule when necessary.
- Work closely with Purchase staff to communicate schedules, schedule changes and to make any necessary re-scheduling requested by end users.
- Liaise with suppliers on quality, shipping documentation, and booking of local transportation for Inbound/Outbound via sea/air freight.
- Handling daily purchasing and warehousing operation to ensure that end user delivery schedules are met so as to provide customer satisfaction.
- Implement effective supply chain practices, inventory management with demand variability, cost reduction and lead time reduction.
- Implement the company\xe2\x80\x99s best practices safety guidelines for sale handling / loading / unloading and lashing of equipment.
