Position Description

GTO Service Market Logistics (SML) APAC is a part of Group Trucks Operations (GTO) being globally active in more than 40 locations delivering world-class operational excellence for our customers, based on smart logistics solutions we have. Our job is to develop, manage and optimise the Service Market supply chain for all Volvo Group brands.
SML APAC Region operates from six sites in the following countries: Australia, China, India, Indonesia, Singapore, South Korea, with the regional headquarters in Singapore. THE POSITION: SUPPLY CHAIN SPECIALIST
We are looking for a self-motivated individual who is highly analytical, proactive and enjoys working with processes. You will possess the ability to communicate clearly and effectively using factual data. You are a forward thinker, a team player with growth mindset, adaptable to change and able to keep up in a fast-paced demanding environment. This role is within the Order & Shipping regional function reporting to the Director, Order & Shipping APAC.

THE MISSION
The position holder will play an active role in the dealer "Order to Delivery" process to improve the end-to-end customer experience by focusing on shortening the Order to Delivery flow and deploying optimised processes in line with the Volvo Operational Concept (VOC) particularly as it relates to our Service Center work.
The position will also take the specialist role and contribute to the capability development initiatives in Sustainability and Electromobility.

SCOPE

  • Champion the Order to Deliver process across SML APAC sites and be a catalyst to attain high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Initiate, develop, and drive prioritised improvement/development initiatives connected to Dealer Order behaviour.
  • Support the development of the Order & Shipping function referring to Volvo Operating Concept (VOC) as a guide.
  • Secure good alignment and collaboration with Supply Planning/Refill team when it comes to ETA and Back Order Recovery.
  • Align with all connected functions within and outside GTO SML to improve overall delivery process and goals. Maintain a good visualisation of related connections.
  • Lead cross-functional activities as an individual or in teams depending on the size/scope of the initiative.
  • Prepare process and value chain analysis to support problem-solving and decision making.
  • Represent APAC region when it comes to system functionality including development of tools and enhancements connected with global solutions.
  • Drive development of sustainability in our supply chain flow, such as initiatives like landfill-free certifications for all APAC sites, CO2 reduction, etc.
  • Take active role in upskilling electromobility in the APAC region. This is by connecting APAC region with right stakeholders around electric vehicles, battery management and competence development.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Actively participate in Order & Shipping APAC management team and drive the performance reporting on behalf of the region.
  • Lead or support ad-hoc improvement work where a specific scope or skill set is deemed necessary as determined by Director, Order & Shipping from time to time.
  • Represent SML APAC in connected Order Office activities alongside Distribution Center representatives.
  • Support the Director, Order & Shipping with regular meeting materials and administration as necessary i.e. Order & Shipping Network calendar and agenda, business review materials, as well as SML APAC Sustainability journey.
CRITICAL COMPETENCIES

  • Exceptional analytical skills with ability to visualise and communicate findings
  • Experience in AS400 (VIPS) or SAP environments
  • Proven data management skills and experience with relevant applications e.g. Office 365 including Power Apps, Power BI, QlikView/Qlik sense or similar
  • Excellent people skills and a strong communicator with a willingness to work cross-functionally
  • Open to change and comfortable with problem-solving tools and application of continuous improvement
  • Cross-functional mindset and is a strong communicator having good influencing skills, also able to create trusting relationships irrespective of cultural differences and geographical distance
  • Strategic thinking and strategic mindset: Drive Order & Shipping roadmap activities connecting Order & Shipping network
  • Active learning mindset on new/emerging technologies such as electromobility
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or having relevant working experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role
  • As all documentations are in English, proficiency in the English language is required
