Support Developer (clearing Systems)
Job Description
Are you an experienced Java Developer looking for a new challenge? We are currently seeking a Support Developer to join a dynamic and forward-thinking team within the finance industry.
As a Support Developer, you will play a crucial role in providing support for local and regional applications, ensuring that all systems and services are stable and managed to Clearing standards. Seated in the application management and support team, you will be responsible for supporting exchange related tasks and applications within the regional IT team, from both a projects and day-to-day activities perspective. This will include communications, IT upgrades, market testing, and more. You will also be expected to participate on a team roster to provide support outside of business hours, if applicable.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong knowledge of IT systems, including Linux/Unix and Windows systems, as well as experience in application lifecycle, software engineering, and test management. In addition, at least 5 years\' experience working as a Java Developer is essential, with Python/Perl experience being a definite plus. Experience in IT services and support, particularly within the finance industry, will also be highly advantageous.
