Job Description


The role requires the incumbent to assist the department in managing training and development, as well as overseeing the organization\'s energy, utilities, and greenhouse gas conservation efforts. This involves coordination with regulatory bodies, conducting audits, and implementing sustainability projects.Job ResponsibilitiesLearning and Training Development:

  • Identify training needs and knowledge gaps within the organization.
  • Develop and implement training plans using appropriate delivery methods.
  • Create and distribute training materials; conduct internal training sessions to enhance technical knowledge.
  • Manage the registration and notification processes for internal courses.
  • Coordinate, record, and evaluate training activities and staff orientation for effectiveness.
Audits and Agency Interaction:
  • Participate in external audits and engagements with authorities like NEA, PUB, and JTC.
  • Conduct internal audits and assess the organization\'s Energy Management System and GHG verification processes.
Utilities and GHG Emission Management:
  • Collect and analyze data on utilities consumption and GHG emissions.
  • Assist in updating monitoring plans and procedures related to energy and utility management.
  • Analyze consumption patterns to identify trends and implement models for predicting future usage.
  • Promote awareness about reducing energy, utility, and water usage within the organization.
Utilities Efficiency and Sustainability Projects:
  • Support the development and implementation of utility management and carbon reduction strategies.
  • Prepare proposals for new sustainability projects, estimating costs and potential savings.
  • Coordinate with various departments during the execution of sustainability projects.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of both short-term and long-term sustainability initiatives.
Job Requirements
  • Education: A Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Process Engineering.
  • Certifications: Water Efficiency Manager (WEM) certification is preferred.
  • Experience: At least 1 year in energy management, utility management, or GHG emissions management, preferably within the engineering or chemical sectors.
  • Skills: Proficiency in calculating GHG emissions using internationally recognized methodologies.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in the engineering and/or chemical industry is highly advantageous.
  • Abilities: Strong analytical skills, effective communication, and the capability to work collaboratively across departments.
