Group Technology and Operations (T&O) enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability and innovation. In Group T&O, we manage the majority of the Bank\'s operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.

Job Duties & responsibilities

• Test Automation Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive automation strategy and framework for the project or organization. Identify and evaluate suitable automation tools and technologies.

• Test Planning: Collaborate with project stakeholders to define the automation testing objectives, scope, and deliverables. Determine the test automation approach, test coverage, and prioritize automation efforts.

• Test Execution: Lead the execution of automated test cases and analyze test results. Identify and report defects, and track them to closure. Monitor test progress and provide regular status updates to the project team.

• Test Environment Setup: Collaborate with the development and infrastructure teams to set up and maintain the necessary test environments, including test data and configurations.

• Test Automation Maintenance: Maintain and enhance the automation test suite to accommodate changes in software applications and test requirements. Review and refactor test scripts for improved efficiency and reliability.

• Test Automation Reporting: Prepare and present test automation reports, including test coverage, test results, and defect metrics, to project stakeholders. Identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for process enhancements.

• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest automation testing trends, tools, and methodologies. Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices.

Requirements

• Proven Test management experience of managing small to medium size test team/projects.

• Test automation tools (Selenium WebDriver, HP QTP/UFT, Appium or similar)

• API testing (using SoapUI, JUnit, Karate, Postman or similar)

• Microservices contract testing

• Performance testing using JMeter /Load Runner.

• Experience using a broad range of test automation frameworks (e.g. Protractor, Cucumber, JUnit or similar)

• Experience in programming / scripting java or python.

• Hands-on experience in continuous Integration (CI) pipelines using Jenkins and git lab and Continuous Testing (CT) to streamline QA

• Experience in continuous testing and BDD.

• Good experience with SDLC practices of Agile, Behavioural and Test-Driven Development

• Experience in testing for Big Data/Hadoop

• Experience in the field of financial/banking applications testing and testing on large complex projects/programmes as a lead or manager

• Strong technical knowledge & able to code in one or more scripting language

• Experience in test automation and developing automation frameworks from scratch

• Advanced knowledge of test methodologies and approaches

• Experience of using and implementing a variety of test tools, including tools for test management / planning, defect tracking, test automation, test data management

• Experience with Agile & Testing Tools like HPALM, UFT, JIRA, Confluence would be an advantage

• Familiar with open source testing frameworks

• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Minimum 18+ yrs in Testing and automation.
