Join our esteemed Indian restaurant, renowned for over 50 years of excellence in culinary experiences.
As Deepavali approaches, we're looking for an experienced Sweets Chef (Mithai Chef) to join our kitchen team on a short-term (1 to 2 months) basis to prepare high-quality Indian sweets.
Job Responsibilities:
Prepare a variety of traditional and festive Indian sweets (e.g., Ladoo, Barfi, Jalebi, Mysore Pak, Kaju Katli, etc.) Ensure consistent quality, hygiene, and presentation Work closely with kitchen team for production planning and bulk orders Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards at all times Assist in packaging and fulfilling customer orders when needed
Requirements:
Prior experience in Indian sweet-making is a must
Able to manage festive rush and large-volume production Familiar with ingredient prep, sugar syrup stages, and temperature control Punctual, reliable, and team-oriented Able to commit from early/mid Sept to end Oct Good planning, organizing and coordination skills Ability to work independently and take initiative Good knowledge and creative in food planning and preparation Good grooming standards and personal presentation Flexibility on working days and hours including weekends and public holidaysIf you have the required expertise and experience, we look forward to hear from you !
