2 Year direct contract under our client.

• Managing or leading projects, overseeing the completion and integration of inter-dependent projects and parts.
• Undertakes complex projects requiring additional technical knowledge and makes decisions on ambiguous administrative and support issues.
• Able to quickly and effectively solve issues as they arise. He/she is able to methodically identify the cause of the issue, evaluate it and develop a solution in collaboration with the team.
• Provide inputs on the annual budget to upkeep the system, assist in procurements, ensure contracts with vendors are renewed or refresh with new maintenance and support contract
• Supports internal and external auditing activities, ensuring that all security policies are being adhered to and fixes any non-compliant policies or react to new policies being introduced that have impact to the system.
• Ownership of root cause analysis related to incidents and Investigation into root cause using available information, leveraging vendor knowledge and support, and creation of remediation plans to rectify the problem.
• Creation and update operational, configuration, and performance health check processes and procedures.
• Assessment of compliance with IT policies, and creation and on-time execution of remediation plans for gaps identified.
• To be on handle Schedule Standby (including Weekend) duties and handle ad-hoc projects and requests.

Requirements / Qualifications:

• Only Singaporeans
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Must be a team player with at least 5 years\' relevant experience.
• Experience of managing 24x7 IT related System / Data Centre operations.
• Experience in working with Data Protection using Veritas Netbackup and other backup tools.
• Good knowledge of Backup operations to support daily operational activities for backup/recovery and storage
• Good knowledge in providing routine preventive measures, implementation, maintenance and monitoring data protection.
• Ability to understand integration with infrastructure and systems.
• Good knowledge in configuring and troubleshooting backup in an environment having servers with Windows, Unix/Solaris/Linux & VMware platform and Redhat Virtualisation.
• Knowledge of working with Veritas disk appliances.
• Good technical IT operations background in server virtualization (Redhat and Windows), server backups and storage management
• Knowledge in hardware, server, storage and virtualization technologies.
• Ability to communicate clearly with people at different levels
• Good team players who can also carry out assignments independently
• Good knowledge in scripting and automation will be an advantage
• Perform Backup system administration using Veritas Netbackup such as installation/configuration of backup and recovery services, disaster recovery, problem resolution and backup performance tuning. Certifications in Backup and Storage management will be an advantage.
