24 June 2024We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled System cum Desktop Engineer with expertise in Linux and Windows 10 and 11 operating systemsMandatory Skill(s)

• Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering;
• At least 2 years of experience as a System cum Desktop Engineer or similar role, with a focus Windows 10 and 11 operating system;
• Strong knowledge of desktop hardware components, peripherals, and their configuration;
• Experience as a System administrator, provide support ,troubleshoot and maintain computer servers and networks;
• Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving technical issues related to desktop computing;
• Familiarity with software deployment tools and methodologies;
• Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and system security configurations;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users;
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Desirable Skill(s)

• Knowledge in networking technologies encompassing Fortinet, Sophos, Cisco switches, routers, and firewalls;
• Relevant certifications such as (MCSE)/ (CSEP).

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Windows 10 and 11 operating systems on desktop computers, laptops, and other end-user devices;
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software issues related to desktop computing, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to end users;
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy software applications, updates, and patches across the desktop environment;
• Implement and manage security measures, including antivirus software, firewalls, and encryption, to safeguard against potential threats and vulnerabilities;
• Monitor and optimize system performance, ensuring efficient utilization of hardware resources and responsiveness of user applications;
• Provide technical support and guidance to end users, addressing inquiries, resolving problems, and offering training as needed;
• Create and maintain documentation related to system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures;
• Participate in IT projects related to desktop infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and technology refresh initiatives.
