Job Description

System Specialist is responsible to develop, maintain and support an organisation\'s IT systems, such as computer hardware, software, video conferencing, networks and database systems and servers. He / She is to ensure that the IT environment is secure and available at all times.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist to test, evaluate and assess the feasibility of latest Windows patches/IoT devices/networking device firmware upgrade before rollout

• Attend and provision user account, access right and IT resources requests timely within SLA timeframe

• Provide advice, support & guidance to staff & management with respect to technical issues, networking, operations, application and desktop support

• Assist to provision, setup and maintain VMware and Hyper-V virtual machines, as well as administering domain joined Windows server 2016 & 2019 services (AD,DNS,DHCP,ADFS,file sharing, web services and etc)

• Ensure all servers is being properly backup according to the backup policies and perform backup restore periodically

• Proactively conduct health check on all applications, servers and network devices and promptly report issues to vendor for resolution within SLA timeframe

• Assist to administer configurations and policies for Fortigate firewalls, Cisco/Dell managed network switches and Aruba/Ruckus WAPs

• Assist to administer and troubleshoot Antivirus, Bitlocker and Windows Pilot enrolment for end-client computer

• Assist to monitor network bandwidth usage and perform timely triage on suspicious/malicious activity in company network and end-client computer

• Assist manage IT infrastructure projects for new sites (from IT BOM planning to full deployment)

• Setup and deploy tablets, computers, printers and IT peripherals according to company standard guidelines

• Provide detailed operational documentations for new and post ICT projects

• Standby to provide technical support and advice after office hours

• Covers duties of fellow colleagues in their absence

• Performs any other duties as assigned.
  

• A recognized diploma in Information Technology

• 1 years of related hands-on working experience in implementing and managing servers, network

• Good knowledge in VMWare, O365, Solaris

• Good knowledge in Windows server OS, Windows OS, Azure Cloud and Cisco cmdlets preferred
