This position reports into the International Tax Senior Manager located in Singapore. If you are interested in becoming a part of this strong and diverse team, consider applying for this great career opportunity.In this role, the Tax Accountant, Asia Pacific (APAC), will have responsibility over designated countries\xe2\x80\x99 income tax compliance (managing an outsourced provider), audits, and tax planning. In addition, this person will have responsibility over selected APAC tax region projects as well as assist the Merger & Acquisition (M&A) Tax group with APAC M&A (and joint venture) deals, APAC acquisition integrations and divestitures. This position will require delivering technical analysis on various APAC regional and global projects, researching complex tax related issues and work in collaboration with other persons in the Tax Department, Controllers, Finance, Treasury, Legal and business stakeholders. You will report to and in addition to the above responsibilities, provide support to the Senior Tax Manager, APAC, on various APAC related income tax matters.Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:Providing support to the wider Corporate Tax team on all internal quarterly tax reporting matters (e.g. FIN 48 positions, income tax rates, withholding tax rates, tax holiday checklist, tax audit log, thin capitalization review, evaluation of valuation allowances, etc.); including analyses for the APAC region;Support in the reviewing of all corporate income tax returns and payment requests for entities prepared either by local Controllers or external service providers;Providing support to the APAC Team on all income tax queries, income tax audits and relationships with local tax authorities;Monitoring changes in local tax legislation, rulings, regulations and litigation;Support the APAC team on requests by APAC business partners on technical tax considerations and applicability to MDT; andProviding implementation support for any regional or global projectsOther Responsibilities:Support to the Corporate Tax Team on all internal quarterly tax reportingSupport to APAC Controllers on tax provisions and deferred income taxes;Support regional and global tax, finance, business and other non-tax led projects; andProactively identify income tax issues and support developing tax strategies.Required Knowledge and Experience:Must Have:Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s in AccountancyMinimum 2 years of international corporate income tax experienceYour Profile:International tax experienceStrong oral and written English language skillsWorking knowledge of accounting skillsProactive and eager to learnEnergetic with an enthusiastic, detailed oriented and hands-on approachTeam player \xe2\x80\x93 ability to work well in a dynamic environmentStrong analytical and communication skillsWhat We OfferWe recognize the personal worth of employees by providing an employment framework that allows personal satisfaction in work accomplished, security, advancement opportunity, and means to share in the company\'s success.
