Tax Manager



Position Overview


The Tax Manager will oversee the full spectrum of corporate tax compliance and advisory functions for the Group's entities in Singapore and overseas. The incumbent will ensure adherence to all statutory and regulatory requirements, manage tax risks, optimise tax efficiency, and support management in strategic tax planning and transactions. This role requires strong technical knowledge of Singapore tax laws, familiarity with international tax regimes, and experience liaising with tax authorities and external auditors.


Key Responsibilities


1. Tax Compliance and Reporting


Ensure accurate and timely preparation, review, and filing of all corporate income tax, GST, and withholding tax returns for the Group. Manage quarterly and annual tax provisions, deferred tax calculations, and disclosures in compliance with IFRS and Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS). Coordinate tax-related matters with external tax agents, auditors, and regulators (e.g., IRAS, ACRA, MAS). Maintain proper documentation and support for tax filings and audits.
2. Tax Planning and Advisory


Develop and implement tax-efficient strategies for business operations, mergers, acquisitions, and cross-border transactions. Provide tax advisory support for group restructuring, financing arrangements, and intercompany transactions. Evaluate tax implications of new business initiatives, contracts, and investments. Monitor and analyse tax developments in Singapore and other jurisdictions that may affect the Group.
3. Transfer Pricing and International Tax


Oversee the preparation and maintenance of transfer pricing documentation in compliance with IRAS and OECD guidelines. Manage transfer pricing policies and ensure appropriate intercompany pricing mechanisms.
4. Risk Management and Governance


Implement and maintain robust internal controls for tax processes and compliance. Lead tax risk assessments and provide recommendations for mitigation. Ensure full compliance with SGX and corporate governance requirements relating to tax transparency and reporting.
5. Stakeholder Management


Partner closely with Finance, Legal, Treasury, and Operations teams on tax-related matters. Act as the main point of contact for external tax advisors and auditors. Provide training and guidance to finance staff on tax compliance and developments.
Qualifications and Experience


Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related discipline. CPA / CA (Singapore) qualification required; an MST or Advanced Tax Programme (SCTP) certification is a plus. Minimum 7-10 years of relevant tax experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory capacity. Prior experience in an SGX-listed company or Big 4 accounting firm strongly preferred. In-depth knowledge of Singapore corporate tax, GST, and international tax principles. Familiarity with Singapore or other regional tax regimes advantageous
