Responsibilities:
Tax compliance
To provide guidance and coaching to the tax teams to ensure compliance with tax regulation, implement a system to monitor current and implementing changes to tax regulation and make appropriate undated on time.
To review, manage and facilitate the accurate preparation and filing of our client tax return on time.
To monitor, creates and implements tax plans and works with other department, ensuring compliance is completed speedily and efficiently, and subsisting tax returns and associated documents by the appropriate deadlines.
Tax planning advisory
Advising clients\' business and individuals create strategies for dealing with their global tax structure.
Advising and consulting with clients in order to provide advice about tax registration (local and/or global), eg ensuring businesses and assets are properly structured to minimise the incidence of taxation.
Advising on potential individual and corporate tax exposure for individual / multinational clients remuneration package and / or incentivisation schemes etc
Managing the tax department
Implement and maintain effective control procedures over all aspect of tax process within the tax department.
Plan and develop overall task for each calendar year and coordinate timing with the tax team.
Preparing budgeting and target, present monthly report to management.
Performance appraisal for tax teams and set their KPI.
Manage and mentor tax team to greater levels of effectiveness and engagement.
Exploring and identifying new technologies which can assist with making tax compliance more efficient less error prone. Working with our innovation manager to work on improvements.
Any other adhoc matters.
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in a tax manager or public accountant role and at least 2 years of experience in a management role
At least a Degree holder.
At least 5 years relevant tax experience in managerial level.
Strong knowledge of tax compliance for corporations an individual.
Familiarity with Singapore Tax Act, GST, stamp duty, transfer pricing etc.
Strong experience with a variety of tax operations and ability to drive process improvements.
Strong ability to utilize project management and accounting best practices to organize and prioritize tasks and the tasks of tax team.
