Established in 1972, Dover Court International School in Singapore is a leading inclusive international school with British heritage, serving international families, set on a green 12-acre site about 20 minutes from the Singapore CBD. In our Early Years we use a Reggio Emilia inspired approach. In Primary we are guided by the National Curriculum for England and the International Primary Curriculum. In Secondary we have IGCSE/GCSE, the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme and International BTEC qualifications. We also offer courses that focus on English, mathematics, life skills and employability through ASDAN programmes.

All students are involved in a wide range of co-curricular activities, mainly run by teaching staff. Resulting in a rich and varied co-curricular offer for our students, with our school active and competitive in the local international school sports league across a number of sports. The school has an extensive programme of residential trips starting in Year 3 up to the Duke of Edinburgh\'s International Award in Secondary.

We are also members of the Federation of British International Schools in Asia (FOBISIA) and are accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS) and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).

An outstanding and inspirational Teacher of Performing Arts is required for August 2024 due to growth in the Secondary School. The successful candidate will be either a specialist Drama or Music teacher, with the ability and willingness to teach KS3 in the alternative subject.

We offer Drama and Music from Years 7 to Year 13, following an adapted Key Stage 3 National Curriculum in Years 7-8, GCSE Edexcel Drama and Music in Years 9-11 and IBDP Theatre and Music in our Sixth Form.

The Drama department offers a wide range of co-curricular opportunities for students including performances, LAMDA lessons, drama workshops, theatre visits and musical productions. The Music department is also a hive of activity with young musicians of all abilities. Students have access to a range of music technology including ipads, a MAC suite and a recording studio. Music and Drama are taught to students across all three learning pathways so candidates with experience of teaching students with additional needs or an enthusiasm and willingness to develop this as part of their own pedagogical practise are particularly sought. The Music faculty offers a wide range of co-curricular opportunities for students including orchestra, bands, choir, and other ensembles.
