Job Overview

The After School Care Teacher is responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for primary school students after school hours. You will supervise, guide, and support students in their daily routines, homework, enrichment, and recreational activities.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise students' arrival, dismissal, and daily activities. Assist students with homework and provide academic support where needed. Conduct enrichment, arts & crafts, games, and character development activities. Maintain discipline and ensure a safe and positive environment. Monitor students' behaviour and well-being, addressing any concerns promptly. Communicate effectively with parents and the centre team regarding student progress and issues. Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of classrooms and activity areas. Support in planning and executing holiday programmes and outings.

Requirements

Minimum

Diploma in Early Childhood, Education, or related field

. Preferably

2 years of experience

in teaching, student care, or childcare settings.

First Aid Certification

(or willing to obtain). Passionate about working with children and able to manage groups effectively. Responsible, patient, and a good role model for students. Good communication and teamwork skills.

Working Hours

School Term:

Monday to Friday, 10:00 am - 7:00 pm, Saturday 9am- 1 pm

School Holidays:

Monday to Friday, 7:30 am - 7:00 pm, Saturday 9am-1pm

(Rotating time slot with other staff during holidays)

Remuneration

Salary range:

$2000 - $2,300
