We are seeking a passionate and skilled Teaching Artist to join our Learning & Engagement team. The ideal candidate has a strong background in theatre education and/or performance, and be responsible for designing and delivering high quality drama-based programs for children, youth and adult learners.
The role will report to the Head of Centre for Creative Learning (CCL):
Plan, create and deliver drama workshops and programs for various age groups.
Facilitate theatre-based learning in schools, holiday camps and enrichment programs.
Collaborate with the CCL team to design curriculum-aligned programs.
Participate in training and program evaluations.
Maintain strong communication with schools, teachers, parents and program partners.
Requirements:
Diploma or degree in drama education, performing arts or a related field.
Minimum 3 to 5 years' experience teaching drama or theatre to children, youth or adults.
Strong facilitation skills and a student-centred, inclusive teaching approach.
Experience in curriculum design, theatre-making or directing youth performances.
Ability to engage learners with varying experience levels and learning styles.
Willingness to work on-site and travel to external venues (schools, community centres).
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $2,000.00 - $3,000.00 per month
Expected hours: No less than 11 per week
