Established in 1972, Dover Court International School in Singapore is a leading inclusive international school with British heritage, serving international families, set on a green 12-acre site about 20 minutes from the Singapore CBD.   • Support learning and teaching inside and outside the classroom.
  • Work with small groups, extending their learning based on individual targets and formative assessment as directed by teacher.
  • Assist class teacher in assessment and record keeping as directed.
  • Be involved with school trips and extra-curricular activities.
  • Foster positive and professional relationships with all children, colleagues, parents and the wider community.
Planning and Preparation
  • Undertake routine tasks and supervisory as required.
  • Assist teachers with preparation of class materials to support the individual needs of specific learners.
  • Ensure the teachers have all the resources required for teaching.
Engagement and Interaction
  • Demonstrate knowledge and an understanding of school Safeguarding policy and will follow the appropriate reporting procedure.
  • Follow all the guidance laid out in our Code of Conduct, DCIS Teaching Assistant Standards, Child Safeguarding Policy and related policies.
  • Be aware of and follow our Health and Safety policies and procedures, ensuring student well-being is our highest priority.
  • Carefully observe students and actively supervise and participate during break duties.
  • Maintain confidentiality.

  • Maintain professional standards including punctuality and attendance.
  • Participate in all TA professional development.
  • Continual development through the identification and implementation of your annual performance management review targets.
  • Be able to reflect on practice and identify next steps including sources of support.

  • Compliance with visa requirements for working in Singapore.
  • Hold a current Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure or equivalent for countries lived in outside of the UK.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all pupils and the willingness to undertake appropriate child protection training when required.
