Job Description


Role : Leading, building and managing Business Development team of the company ensuring smooth transition of existing business, developing new business & channels in Modern Trade, General Trade & Ecommerce sectors in FMCG segment.

Responsibilities :

  • Plan & execute a compelling strategy to win in local and regional markets in FMCG/F&B categories
  • lead development, execution and tracking of Joint Business Plans (JBP) with Principal and Distributor Management team.
  • Lead and deliver monthly/quarterly/annual goals as aligned in the Business Plans.
  • Fully own all Sales and Sales Fundamentals targets in the Business Plans and leads the sales team to achieve 100% of those targets.
  • Lead Top-to-Top Meetings with Key customers.
  • lead, develop anbd execute distribution coverage plans for the entire geography of the Distributor for existing and new business.
  • Manage, deploy & control account base sales & marketing promotions and campaigns working with Principals & Retail/eCommerce customers.
  • Oversee New Business eCommerce end to end operations working with eCommerce executives and logistics team.
  • Explore opportunities to grow the business through targeting, pitching and winning distributorship in all channels for new MNCs, local & regional FMCG companies, Wholesale and other relevant expansion opportunities.
  • To ensure that new and existing products are promoted effectively:
    • Introduce new product lines to new and existing customers by working closely with Design and Marketing Departments
    • Ensure all channels are provided with an appropriate range of products
    • Identify and report new product opportunities to the Design and Marketing teams for further research
    • Identify and report new business opportunities
  • Engage in Margin Negotiation with Principals & manage spending to improve profitability
  • Deliver and manage P&L for new business
Requirements :
  • A natural "Leader" & "Sales Professional" - Ability to take challenges and motivate self & organization behind stretch targets
  • Experience in managing small to mid-size sales team in FMCG distribution industry. At least 7 years of direct selling experience including 2 years of experience in managing direct reports. Should have experience of selling in different channels - Super/Hyper, Mini Mart, Ecommerce, Traditional Grocery stores
  • A management Graduate or Diploma holder, with at least 3 years of experience in FMCG/F&B business
  • Experience in working with F&B distribution segment is an added advantage
  • High business acument & management skills
  • Fluent in BOTH English and Mandarin
  • Ability to manage complexity, and create simple executable plans for the sales teams
  • An obsession for continuous learning and improvement
