Your team

The Tech Engineer will participate in the full development lifecycle for Front Office technology team projects including requirements gathering, technical design, development, testing, and implementation. The Front Office Technology team has the responsibility of supplying Asset Management solutions with robust, high-quality applications. We are looking for an experienced developer who can participate in a broad variety of application development initiatives across the Order Management and Trade Execution stream within UBS Asset Management.

Your expertise

Required Skills / Qualifications:

• bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline
• good understanding and usage of design patterns, object-oriented (oo) development, clean code and solid design principles
• c# .net development experience essential
• sql experience essential including the ability to write stored procedures and debug/analyze/optimize existing sql
• ability to work as part of a team, communicate effectively at all organizational levels with excellent verbal and written communication skills
• familiar with agile development methodologies and devops tools
• self-directed, self-starter, and motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision

preferred skills:

• experience and knowledge of equity & fixed income instruments, including fix protocol and market data services
• oms experience
• knowledge of market structure, order management, and electronic trading
• evaluate new technology options and vendor products
• experience building large integrated enterprise applications
• exposure to cloud or digital technologies would be an added advantage
• experience and knowledge of the regulatory reporting obligations on financial institutions (mifid-ii, finfrag, market abuse regulation etc.)
