Tech Lead/principal Data Architect

Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Engage with the client to understand ever changing directions and priorities
- Work with cross-functional stakeholders to understand the business process and build and review conceptual and logical models.
- Leads technical teams and has a leadership responsibility for data architecture and data technical design
- Special attention to testing frameworks and testability
- Demonstrable experience in developing, publishing, and maintaining all documentation for data models that demonstrates data lineage
- Lead teams from small to large scale and delivered low to high complexity solutions
Requirements:
- 3 years of prior experience in data engineering or application integration engineering including hands on experience with Python/Java/Shell/SQL
- Proven demonstrable experience designing and implementing ETL pipelines
- AWS Native (e.g. S3, Redshift, Athena), Teradata, MySQL, SQL Server, NoSQL technologies is a plus
- Good working knowledge of RDBMS databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL)
- Good knowledge of testing tools (JMeter / JUnit / Python unittest)
- Working knowledge of Apache Spark and/or other distributed computing frameworks (MapRed)
- Excellent leadership, communication (written and oral), and interpersonal skills
- Experience leading a team of engineers
