Technical Accounting LH ("TALH") is part of Regional CFO team in Singapore, and an extension of Reinsurance Accounting central unit in Munich. TALH looks after Munich Re's Life and Health business booked in Asia and works with reporting team, business unit and data management team to ensure reinsurance transactions are captured and reported efficiently. We are looking for a Technical Accounting Intern from January to May 2026.
Your Role
You will support the roll-out of Munich Re's new cloud-native Life Accounting Data Intake solution in the APAC region, contributing in the following areas:
You will work on selected portfolios to set up the process under LAB
You will be enhancing and customizing our data validation framework, using your programming skills in R or PowerQuery / PowerPivot applications.
You will work with technical accountants to identify data issues and develop optimal solutions
You will use and enhance analytical tools by leveraging on the data collected
Your Profile
Bachelor's degree in Computing / Information Technology / Business Analytics / Actuarial Science / Accounting
Prior knowledge of SQL, MS Power Platforms such as Power BI / PowerQuery / PowerPivot / PowerApp etc is a plus
Possess keen interest in cloud technologies (Azure)
Experience in life insurance/reinsurance and data handling is an advantage
Programming skills in R, C# or Python are a strong asset
Possess curiosity to explore new topics and knowledge - flexible with navigating around ambiguity and push boundaries
