Itron is looking for a Smart Grid Engineer to join our team in Singapore. In this role, you will work directly with our customers to configure applications, develop and document processes, and execute processes to deliver and maintain value provided through Itron applications. You will also work with Itron project delivery resources to bridge between solution implementation and deployment and solution operations. You will be leveraged as the onsite Itron solution expert to address front line questions from the customer about the applications and identify issues that need to be escalated to Itron Customer Support using standard escalation processes. In this position, you will play a key role as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor to Itron\xe2\x80\x99s customers, providing the highest opportunity to achieve customer and company success. This is the ideal position for someone who has extensive experience with establishing business objectives and service levels, documenting processes, process execution, managing process adherence, monitoring service levels, training and education of customers, and identification and management of issues to closure.

The Technical Consultant role requires a Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a directly related field plus eight (8) years of relevant industry experience, preferably in the utility sector.

• 5+ years of product development including solution delivery, preferably for deployment of a telecommunications network (wireless or wired) and/or large enterprise or internet/application service provider data center.
• Demonstrated leadership, analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills, including the ability to describe multiple business situations where these skills have been leveraged.
• Strong working knowledge of Linux and Windows servers including OS and network configuration.
• Working knowledge of SQL and experience with Oracle Database; experience with MariaDB and Microsoft SQL Server an advantage.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and proven ability to work effectively with all organizational levels; must be able to work autonomously with customers with minimal supervision.
• Must possess above average written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple tasks and concurrent projects.
• Demonstrated skills in requirements gathering, resource organization, project/task prioritization and schedule development.
• Experience and knowledge of gas, water and electric utility meter reading and related distribution automation technologies is desirable.
• Experience with implementing solutions in a virtualized or public cloud environment such as AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Hands on experience with Cisco IOS/IOX with solid understanding of networking and TCP/IP; experience with IPv6 a plus.
• Experience with GIS, CIS and other utility systems are highly desirable.
