Job Description

Job Summary:



Responsible for overseeing all technical aspects of piling projects, ensuring that engineering designs, project plans, and on-site operations are executed to the highest standards. This role requires a strong background in geotechnical engineering, extensive experience in piling and foundation works, and leadership skills to guide technical teams.


Key Responsibilities:



Strategic Leadership:



Develop and implement technical strategies to enhance project efficiency and quality.


Align technical initiatives with the company's goals and objectives.


Project Management:



Oversee the planning, design, and execution of piling projects.


Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required specifications.


Technical Oversight:



Review and approve engineering designs, plans, and specifications.


Provide technical guidance and problem-solving support during project execution.


Team Leadership:


Lead and mentor the engineering and technical teams.


Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and excellence.


Quality Assurance:



Implement and monitor quality control processes.


Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.


Stakeholder Management:



Collaborate with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies.


Communicate technical information effectively to non-technical stakeholders.


Risk Management:



Research and Development:



Stay updated with the latest advancements in piling technology and techniques.


Promote the adoption of innovative solutions and technologies.


Financial Management:



Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts for technical operations.


Monitor project costs and implement cost-saving measures where feasible.


Health and Safety:



Ensure all technical activities comply with health and safety regulations.


Promote a safe working environment and culture.


Qualifications:



Education:



Must possess Master's degree in either Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering.


Experience:



Minimum of 10 years of experience in piling, foundation engineering, or a related field.


Proven track record of managing complex piling projects from inception to completion.


Skills:



Strong leadership and management skills.


Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.


Proficient in engineering software and tools.


Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.


Certifications:



Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent is highly desirable.


Relevant certifications in project management (e.g., PMP) are advantageous.


Working Conditions:



Primarily office-based with regular visits to project sites.


May require extended hours to meet project deadlines.


Occasional travel for site inspections, client meetings, and conferences.
