Overview

Our client, a financial services company, has two offices in Singapore. Our contract calls for the successful delivery of a comfortable work environment which covers normal office systems such as office HVAC, lighting, electrical, pantry equipment etc, as well as ensuring zero downtime in their critical equipment such as HVAC, generator, fire system and UPS supporting IT related and communications equipment. The facility technician will report to the facility engineer and will be supporting operations and maintenance of these equipment/systems in the Blackrock offices in Singapore. Mainly based in 20 Anson, the technician may also be requested to cover Asia Square office from time to time.

Job requirements

• Execute and manage preventive maintenance programs for the facility equipment including HVAC, UPS, electrical and fire systems in the office.
• Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures.
• Maintain service reports, checklists, PPM schedules and any other relevant documentation for all installations.
• Coordinating with vendors and ensure proper deliverables according to expectations.
• Understand the engineering design and operational aspects of facility systems.
• Must be able to recognize system shortcomings and take appropriate remedial actions.
• To ensure 100% Power availability at site and no impact for any power outage.
• Close monitoring of HVAC system and temperature in site maintained as per the SOPs.
• Manage critical spares for all installations and plan for inventory.
• Manage any breakdowns promptly in accordance to incident management process including escalation.
• To participate in any critical Engineering activities like Annual shutdown, plan activity etc.
• Should have ability to troubleshoot issues related to Critical Engineering.
• Supervise minor Projects at site.
• Adopt energy conversation practices as much as possible including energy conservation initiatives & implementation.
• Support to cross functional team like IT, AV & Soft Team for daily operation activities.
• Support the general handyman service.
• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations on fire, health, and safety standards.
• Ensure safe work practices and all safety procedures are complied. This includes vendor activities as well as any emergencies or incidents management.

Qualifications

• 3 years experience in operations and maintenance in an office environment
• Experience in managing critical systems requiring zero downtime
• Diploma in an engineering field
