Tech Lead

who is both a hands-on engineer and a compassionate mentor -- someone who can guide teams, uphold technical excellence, and shape architectures that solve real business problems.

Your Role as a Zenika Consultant:

Lead and mentor

engineers across one or several squads, providing guidance on technical decisions, development practices, and problem-solving. Ensure high technical quality by promoting

Software Craftsmanship

practices (TDD / BDD, Pair programming, DDD, Code reviews, Clean code and continuous refactoring) Shape and refine the

software architecture

as projects evolve -- leveraging your experience across multiple tech stacks (frontend, backend, databases, CI/CD, infrastructure, message queues). Support

presales

by designing tailored technical architectures aligned with client needs, ensuring smooth integration and deployment. Ask the right questions during scoping to fully understand business and technical requirements. Provide consulting-style recommendations, helping clients choose the right

architectures, tools, and technologies

(supported when needed by internal solution architects). Collaborate closely with product managers, project managers, and business stakeholders to ensure coherent communication and smooth delivery. Promote a culture of learning, collaboration, and excellence within the engineering team and across Zenika.

What You Bring

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. Strong background as a

hands-on engineer

, with experience owning or designing architectures for multiple software projects. Versatility across

frontend, backend, API design, databases, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure, and event/message-driven systems

. Experience acting as a mentor or technical leader within a development team. Solid understanding of

engineering best practices

, agile development, and continuous delivery. Ability to communicate clearly with both technical teams and business stakeholders. Consulting mindset: able to analyse client problems, design solutions, articulate trade-offs, and make recommendations. Experience contributing to presales, scoping, estimation, or solutioning is a plus. Familiarity with the Singapore public sector environment is a bonus, but not required. Singaporeans and PRs Only
