Job Title Technical Officer (Central) - Expression of Interest
Summary The Building Technician is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of building systems and equipment. This role involves performing routine inspections, troubleshooting, and carrying out repairs on mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and other building systems to maintain a safe and comfortable environment for all occupants.

About the Role:

• Involved in M&E building related system in ACMV, Electrical System, Mechanical System, Security System, Builder Work etc.
• Understand basic concept of building activities and related consumption activities. To generate M&E, Electrical consumption report from raw excel sheet data into power point slide for monthly presentation.
• Follow up on past and existing operation items for closure. eg: project and maintenance.
• Coordinate and carry out Electrical Power Shutdown. Attend to breakdown maintenance, fault requests and complaints and report on the follow up actions with proposed solution.
• Ensure M&E System, Electrical and Security System like card reader is well maintain. Retrieval of security data base information for analysis. eg: staff movement.
• Ensure M&E System for preventive maintenance activities is carried out by term contractors accordingly to contract technical specification and verify payment for service report.
• Ensure contractors follow the safe work processes on site such as submission of permit to work, risk assessment, safe work method statement and attend safety induction course before work commencement.
• Assist and attend handover over/inspection for new equipment and facilities.
• Attend to client request and source quotation with the correct technical specification for client approval.
• Build up good relationship with client and attend to client's need and queries with clear communication and presentation skill.
• Regular email and work update to client & user with accurate information.
• Review and track term contractor quotation submission within client request period.
• Accessible and available for reply and activation after office hour and over the weekend.
• Source, negotiate and follow up with Contractors on repair and replacement work to ensure work done according to Electrical safety specifications. Assist and attend handover over/inspection for new equipment and facilities.
• Mechanical System, ejector pump, water tank, pressure vessel (covering when required).
• Any other duties and covering required when assigned.

About You:

• Diploma in Facilities Management / Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Building Services or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of relevant facility management experiences or equivalent
