Oversee the regular maintenance, repair, and upgrading of port infrastructure such as wharves, terminals, roads, and utilities to ensure efficient and safe operations.
Maintain an inventory of port infrastructure assets and manage their lifecycle, ensuring timely replacements and upgrades to avoid service disruptions.
Coordinate the integration and functioning of port infrastructure systems, including security, monitoring, and communication networks, to ensure seamless operations across all departments.
Implement systems to monitor the performance of port infrastructure, generate reports on usage, condition, and efficiency, and identify areas for improvement.
Ensure that all infrastructure meets local, national, and international safety and regulatory standards, conducting regular safety audits and addressing compliance issues.
Lead or assist in infrastructure projects, from planning through to execution, including scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and resource management.
Provide technical support for the operation and maintenance of port equipment (e.g., cranes, conveyors, and cargo handling systems), ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
Assist in the implementation of environmental management plans, promoting sustainable practices in infrastructure design, operation, and waste management.
Identify potential risks to infrastructure operations (e.g., natural disasters, equipment failure) and develop contingency plans to mitigate impacts and ensure business continuity.
Collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders such as contractors, port authorities, logistics companies, and government agencies to ensure effective infrastructure management and resolve technical issues.
