Job Description

:

• Oversee the regular maintenance, repair, and upgrading of port infrastructure such as wharves, terminals, roads, and utilities to ensure efficient and safe operations.

• Maintain an inventory of port infrastructure assets and manage their lifecycle, ensuring timely replacements and upgrades to avoid service disruptions.

• Coordinate the integration and functioning of port infrastructure systems, including security, monitoring, and communication networks, to ensure seamless operations across all departments.

• Implement systems to monitor the performance of port infrastructure, generate reports on usage, condition, and efficiency, and identify areas for improvement.

• Ensure that all infrastructure meets local, national, and international safety and regulatory standards, conducting regular safety audits and addressing compliance issues.

• Lead or assist in infrastructure projects, from planning through to execution, including scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and resource management.

• Provide technical support for the operation and maintenance of port equipment (e.g., cranes, conveyors, and cargo handling systems), ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.

• Assist in the implementation of environmental management plans, promoting sustainable practices in infrastructure design, operation, and waste management.

• Identify potential risks to infrastructure operations (e.g., natural disasters, equipment failure) and develop contingency plans to mitigate impacts and ensure business continuity.

• Collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders such as contractors, port authorities, logistics companies, and government agencies to ensure effective infrastructure management and resolve technical issues.

Requirements

• Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Building or Facility Management or related fields
