Technical Project and Application Engineer, Cable Manfacturing, West [LKH]

Our client is leading solution provider in cable, connectors, and accessories to fully integrated connection solutions. Their products are used in production machinery, industrial robots, public transport, food processing, alternative energy, charging systems for electric vehicles, oil drilling platform.
Working Hours : Office Hour
Working location : West, require travelling Islandwide

Responsibility:

• Technical 2nd level support for customers (application advice, problem identification) regarding the Active Industrial Communication and the Cable Guard portfolio
• Execution of application solution-oriented Customer workshops with design in of Industrial Communication products and systems
• Planning and execution of customer Trainings on products and solutions
• Support building up and responsible for maintaining the Application Center
• Arrangement of product tests and approvals
• Preparation of application oriented technical documentation
• Close cooperation with product management and sales organization
• Technical expert for joint customer visits with sales

Requirements:

• Degree in electrical/industrial automation/software/communications engineering or engineering background.
• Preferably 3-5 years of industrial experience
• Experience in sales/application consulting for customers/product management desirable
• Customer-oriented thinking and appearance
• Knowledge of Industrial Automation Systems
• Programming knowledge and understanding, e.g. PLC programming, C/C++/Python (embedded)
• Knowledge of data transmission (copper/optical) e.g. TCP/IP, Ethernet or ProfiNet protocols
• Experience in system testing/validation of software
• Product knowledge of active industrial communication networks such as switches, routers, gateways and wireless communication
• Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office/Business Software and basic knowledge of mechanics required
• Structured and analytical thinking as well as independent work in international project team
• Business fluent in English as a communication language
