Job Description

Our client is an established European company specializing in waterproofing products and solutions. They have recently opened a new office in Singapore and are eager to introduce their products and expand their business presence in Asia. In light of this expansion, they are seeking to hire several Specifiers to generate new business and provide specification support in regional Asia.

:

• To identify opportunities in the initial phases of the design process and enable company products to be specified in regional Asia
• To generate leads and new business from consultant engineers, architects, estimators, professional quantity surveyors, building contractors, government bodies, building owners and facility managers and secure maximum product specification in line with the Company\xe2\x80\x99 sales plan.
• To provide specification support to the sales department for ongoing contracts when required.
• Actively engage and foster new business relationships within one\xe2\x80\x99s network of Engineers, Architects, Estimators, Professional Quantity Surveyors, Building Contractors, Government Bodies, Facility Managers, and Building Owners to facilitate the specification of waterproofing products.
• Support the sales team during pre-tender stages by assisting in calls to prospective customers, ensuring the submission of company product proposals.
• Present counter proposals with relevant supporting documentation when competitor\xe2\x80\x99s products have been specified.
• Introduce new products to major Contractors, Consultant Engineers, Architects, and Client bodies.
• Maintain regular communication with the technical director regarding specification matters.
• Participate in product presentations, seminars, industrial organizations, and trade shows.
• Develop and deliver technical and training presentations to clients.
• Attend monthly sales/technical meetings to support Business Process Management (BPM) and sales processes.
• Establish a data bank of standard specification submittals.
• Create and implement a specification plan aligned with the company\xe2\x80\x99s strategic goals, contributing to the 3-year rolling Business Plan.
• Gather, monitor, and provide market intelligence on competitors\xe2\x80\x99 activities, market trends, and identify relevant threats and opportunities.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the immediate superior, the Technical Director.

Requirements:

• Min Diploma or Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in construction relevant field (Civil Engineering / Quantity Surveying / Construction Management)
• Min 5 years of working experience in building and construction industry including prior experience in waterproofing products is beneficial, or other products that are related to construction
• Wide network and connections of Architects, Engineers, Building Owners, Contractors in Singapore or SEA which can be used immediately to introduce company products
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
